Cheetah Vice Captain Speech
Acceptance Speech
It is said that family is not only the people who are your blood, but you also make your own family. And here I stand today, as a proud member of the Vidya Valley family. Not only as a student, but as a prefect. Good morning respected Principal Ma’am, Vivek Sir, teachers, parents and my fellow prefects. I am Ishaan Navalakha, the cheetah house vice captain for the year 2022-23. Firstly, I would like to thank all the teachers for their trust and confidence in me for this post. I cannot begin to express my gratitude for all my fellow cheetahites who are responsible for me standing here on this stage. TODAY……. accepting the prestigious title of the HOUSE VICE CAPTAIN, it is truly a great honor. I would also like to thank my parents who supported me throughout this whole process and my friends, who helped and campaigned for me. I cannot put my love and admiration for my house and respect for all the previous prefects who stood here, before me, into words. I assure you that I will hold this post with dedication and give my best contribution. I promise to be a good leader and help cheetah regain its former glory and win the TOP CAT . With that, I conclude my speech.
THANK YOU.
Cheetah VC Speech
Good morning to respected Principal Ma’am, my Teachers, and all my friends present here. I would like to begin my speech by expressing my gratitude to all my teachers, sports teachers, and Nalini/Principal ma’am for nominating me for this position. It is an honor to be considered worthy of this post and I am positive that I am a suitable candidate.
For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Ishaan Navalakha. For those of you who do, I’m some weird variation of my surname you abbreviated from god knows where. So a little about myself- I’m from Cheetah house, studying in class 9, I play numerous sports (including football for the school team) and today I stand here in front of you all, running for the prestigious post of vice-captain of Cheetah house.
Let me be honest, speeches aren’t really my thing. I’m more of a pep talk kind of guy, so I will try to keep my speech short and sweet because I’m quite sure everyone wants to go out and enjoy their lunch break.
Now coming to the point, I’ll try to be the best….. NO NO NO, I WILL be the best leader you can ask for. Whether it be a debate, a dance competition, or a basketball match, I WILL BE THERE. As a leader, I will encourage and bring out the very best from each one of you Cheetahites, because I believe that each one of us has the potential and mentality to win and to contribute to our school and our house.
I aim to be an individual whom you all can look up to, as well as a friend you can simply talk to. So Cheetahites, we’ve played too much of the waiting game. Now it’s time to bring that big trophy we all know as the TOP CAT to where it actually belongs.
I would like to end with a quote- “A true leader has the confidence to stand alone, the courage to make tough decisions, and the compassion to listen to the needs of others. He does not set out to be a leader, but becomes one by the equality of his actions and the integrity of his intent.”
—Douglas MacArthur.
So do vote for me, if you all trust me and think of me as worthy of this post. This is Ishaan Navalakha for the post of Cheetah vice-captain, signing off! Thank you, and may the best candidate win.
