Head Girl Speech- 2022
Good afternoon, everyone, I am Ria Inchekar, Head Girl of Vidya Valley for the year 2022-23 At the outset, I would like to thank Principal Ma’am, Vivek Sir, Ipshita ma’am, Nilima Ma’am, Ajay Sir, and all teachers who reposed faith in me for the Head Girl Post nomination. I assure you that as head girl I shall give my absolute best and perform my duties with utmost dedication. I would like to thank all my teachers right from grade 1 [when I was like a toddler] thru grade 10. Each one of you has taught me, enlightened me, sometimes scolded & cajoled me but most importantly loved me. You have a huge share in shaping my today and my tomorrow. My special thanks to Joyeeta ma’am who has always mentored me – thru thick and thin. A big thank you to all my fellow Valleyite students – those who voted for me and those who did not. I humbly accept your trust in me. I am deeply aware that a lot of juniors will look up to me as a leader and role model. I shall strive hard to not let you down.
Last but not the least – my entire family, my brother Konark and of course MY PARENTS – I know your love for me is unconditional …. MOSTLY…. Sometimes… it does get conditional. However, In spite of that … THANK YOU for being the perfect parents to an imperfect daughter. I will do my best to make you proud. To wrap my acceptance up with an apt couplet:
समंदर कि ऊंची लेहरो से जैसे चट्टान नही लडखडाएंगे हमने ज़िम्मेदारीयां उठा ली है अब हम हर तुफान से टकराएंगे
