Sher Vice Captain

Sher Vice Captain Speech

Campaigning Speech

Good morning, everyone. I am Aarooh Karnani from Class 9, and I am trying, my absolute best, for the post of Vice-Captain for Sher house.

For those who don’t know me, here’s a quick overview:

I enjoy playing Taekwondo, Basketball, and Football. After 9 years of playing, I have achieved a black belt in Taekwondo. Some of my major achievements include a National Gold medal and multiple State Gold medals too. Because of all that I have played and practiced; I can assure you that my knowledge of sports spreads across a wide variety. I also took part in a debate competition approximately a year back.

A quality that every good leader needs, according to me, is the ability to keep calm and stay positive, even in tough situations. The ability to not freak out when someone makes a small mistake. The ability to keep fellow members’ morale up if it seems damaged. The ability to LEAD. This is a quality that I feel I possess. I wish to cement myself as the Captain Cool of Vidya Valley. Okay, maybe just Vice-Captain Cool for now but the dream of Captain still stands.

It doesn’t matter if you’re good at sports or not. It could be debates, science, dancing, or singing, it could be literally anything. But even if you don’t see it, everybody is good at something. I will give it my all to find what it is and help you realize it as well. I want to make sure you can approach me not as a senior or a junior but just as a friend who is eager to help you.

If you don’t like your destiny, don’t accept it. Instead, have the courage to change it the way you want it to be.” Were the great words of Uzumaki Naruto. I don’t want to accept the fact that Sher has been losing the Top Cat since even before I entered this house. I will give everything I’ve got to change this. Together, we can bring back the glory that Sher deserves. I want to thank all the teachers for nominating me for this post, it means a lot to me. I want to thank all my fellow Sherites for listening to me patiently. I won’t disappoint you. Voting for me is the right choice.
GO SHER!

Acceptance Speech

Good afternoon dear teachers, parents and fellow prefects.

I, Aarooh Karnani, am proud and honoured to be standing here today as the Vice-Captain of Sher house for the year 2022-23. I am very grateful to all the teachers who deemed me worthy of this post and also to all the Sherites who chose to elect me as their Vice-Captain. It would be an understatement to say that I am glad I received this position. I am thankful to my seniors, who inspired me to work hard for this prestigious post. I have learnt a lot from them, and I will continue to do so. I am thankful to my fellow nominees who made the entire process even more thrilling. I am thankful to my parents and brother who helped me with campaigning and urged me to do the best I could. Finally, I am extremely, extremely thankful to all my friends, who supported and encouraged me so I could be where I am right now. I promise to give 100% of myself to this post and dedicate myself to whatever I do. I promise to honour the badge which has been pinned to my chest.

Once again, I am Aarooh Karnani, Sher Vice-Captain, and I thank you for listening. Have a nice day.
