Student Council Speech
Good afternoon everyone, my name is shloka Sambhare and I am the head of student council. As many of you may know, I was originally in the running for head boy and lost to aaryaman
by a few votes. Even though I was initially disappointed after the loss, I thoroughly enjoyed the elections experience, The experience taught me many things,
- It taught me how to believe in myself
- It taught me the power of public speaking and creative thinking
- But most importantly
This experience taught me how to lose.
I am grateful for the opportunity to represent the student council. and am excited and ready to dive in and take charge of the responsibilities that come with this post. I would like to thank principal ma’am and my teachers for thinking me worthy of this post, I would like to thank my friend krishang who helped me with some of the out of the box thinking, I would like to thank my parents for their advice for the speeches and ferrying me to and from the photocopying store. And I would like to thank aaryaman for remaining a great friend throughout this whole experience which has brought us even closer together, I wouldn’t rather lose to anybody else. I would like to end by saying congratulations to all the other winners. Let’s make this year count!
