Adventure Training

Mr. Anand Mali, one of our PE teachers, is an expert mountaineer. He has climbed Everest, Kangchenjunga, and many other challenging peaks and mountains. With his help and the additional support of Giripremi, a prominent mountaineering club of Pune, Vidya Valley has instilled a love of the outdoors among many of our students and their parents as well. They now regularly participate in treks and even difficult mountaineering expeditions.

Trekking

The Western Ghats and the fortresses of the Maratha Empire are located within easy reach for trekking by students of Vidya Valley. Almost every month a large group of students and often some parents too set off with Mr. Anand Mali and other teachers. Sometimes it is a day trek and other times overnight. For the fitter and stronger students, Mr. Mali sets up difficult treks.
Over the years, Vidya Valley has arranged around 100 treks, all of which remain happy memories for its alumni

Interested students of Vidya Valley and their parents have been on treks to Annapurna Base Camp under the guidance of instructors of Giripremi.

Expeditions

Interested students of Vidya Valley and their parents have been on successful expeditions to Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa, and Mount Elbruz of the Caucasus Mountains, the highest peak in Europe. Our students have also ascended Stok Kangri a mountain in Ladakh that is over 6000 metres in altitude.
