Book Title: Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone
Author: J. K. Rowling
About the book:
I like the book because it is descriptive. All the characters and scenes are very nicely illustrated in words; and you can imagine the story unfolding in your head. The story is about a boy called Harry Potter who on his 11th birthday receives an invitation to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He then realizes that he is a wizard! At Hogwarts Harry meets Ron Weasley and Hemione Granger, and they become good friends. Together they fight their way to find the philosopher’s stone. The book is highly engaging and once you begin reading it you wouldn’t want to put it down. This book is good if you like sci-fi, adventure and fantasy put together.
What was your favorite part?
My favorite part of the book was when Harry unknowingly does some magic and sets the snake at the zoo free. It was hilarious to watch the bossy Dudley being scared.
