Festivals hold a significant place in human life, serving as a reminder of our cherished values such as
unity, humility and generosity.
Among these celebrations, Diwali stands out as one of the most prominent festivals in India,
symbolizing love, sharing, and togetherness. It is a time when families come together to create
beautiful, lasting memories.
At Vidya Valley, the young stars of Junior Kindergarten celebrated Diwali in their unique and
delightful way on October 25, 2024. The festivities began the previous day with a vibrant Rangoli
activity, where the children, guided by their teachers, crafted intricate patterns using colored sand
and flower petals around the Junior Kindergarten building.
The following day, the little ones arrived in their finest festive attire, their faces adorned with bright
smiles. To instill the values of sharing and generosity, the teachers encouraged the students to bring
homemade sweets and savories, which they eagerly shared with their friends and teachers.
One of the event’s highlights was the heartfelt gesture towards the supporting staff—the kakas and
maushis. Each staff member received a thoughtfully packed box of Diwali treats as a token of
appreciation.
The celebration wouldn’t be complete without acknowledging the joy of dance. The children
enthusiastically moved and grooved to the music in their own little dance party, reveling in the
festive spirit.
This memorable event was orchestrated by Sheeba Joseph Ma’am and her colleagues – Vidya ma’am,
Maithili ma’am, Rupali ma’am, Manisha ma’am, Kashmira ma’am, and Geetanjali ma’am.
The celebration was a joyous occasion, creating lasting smiles and warm hearts on the beautiful
occasion of the Festival of Light.
