Student Council Member Aalam Enso Profile

I am a 9th grader.

9th grade is an important year in a teenagers life. It is the year when you take up leadership posts, find hobbies, interests and other things you love doing.

I want to become an artist. Other than trophies, medals and material achievements the one achievement I hold close to my heart is my development as an artist and my creativity.

Making art is the thing I love doing most. It gets me into that flow state and allows me to be completely immersed in a certain activity. While doing art I don’t get distracted easily.

Alongside pursuing my hobbies I also focused on achievements inside the school campus.

I am a member of our school’s student council. My job is to assist the other head prefects including the vice captains, captains and other head prefects. It’s a fun post to have. It lets you be in a leadership position and It makes me think of what working in a team really means. It means listening to your peers and filtering out ideas that work for a certain thing . It means taking into account everyone’s needs and wants and making sure everybody as a community is happy.  In a school discipline is important. It allows the school to do fun and important things for the students  without having to worry about the freedom of children. Our school performs many activities and programmes to engage students’ interests and passions like our CIS (cubes in space) programme and the various art competitions we partake in. This is why our school is so loved. The whole management puts in effort not just to educate children but to do things outside of the classroom to leave students feeling starstruck  with deep interests and passions. But as a community we need to ensure everything is in working order and only then can we ensure our school remains the amazing school it is.
