Good morning one and all present here,
Today, 26th January, is not just a red-letter day on the calendar or a reason to check if school attendance is optional.
It is Republic Day — the day India decided to stop borrowing rules and start running the country on its own terms. On this day in 1950, our Constitution came into force. Now, let’s be honest — the word Constitution sounds serious enough to make even toppers sit straight. If the Constitution were a textbook, it would be that one book with no pictures, tiny font, and so many pages that you’d need emotional support just to open it!
Yet, it remains the most powerful book in India — because every law, right, and rule begins there.
Think of the Constitution as the operating system of India. Just like your phone has Android or iOS, India runs on the Constitution. And we all know what happens when you don’t update your system — the phone hangs, apps crash, and nothing works properly!
The Constitution gives us fundamental rights — like freedom of speech. Yes, you are free to express your opinions… but that freedom does not mean you can tell your parents “You’re wrong” and expect pocket money the next day! Rights come with duties, because rights without duties are like Wi-Fi without internet — looks promising, but absolutely useless.
Republic Day also celebrates India’s greatest strength — unity in diversity.
Different languages, cultures, food habits, and opinions — yet one nation. India is like the world’s biggest group project: everyone has a different idea, some do all the work, some disappear at the last moment… but somehow, we still manage to submit it on time!
Being a good citizen today is not only about waving the flag or posting patriotic reels online. It is about small actions — following rules, respecting differences, standing up for what is right, and caring for our environment.
Because throwing garbage on the road and then blaming the government is like failing an exam and blaming the pen! So on this Republic Day, let us remember — the Constitution is not just a book written in 1950.
It is a living promise, and one day, the responsibility of protecting it will rest on us. After all, the future of India is not hidden in history books — it is sitting right here, on this turf, in these classrooms, in these curious minds.
It is listening carefully, thinking smartly, dreaming big, and planning even bigger. It is asking questions, making mistakes, learning lessons, and slowly discovering its own strength.
And yes, it is also secretly checking the time and hoping this speech ends soon!
But jokes apart, every idea you think, every skill you develop, and every good choice you make is shaping the India of tomorrow.
The nation will not grow only through laws and policies, but through students who are honest, responsible, creative, and kind.
So remember — the future is not somewhere far away; it is sitting right here… wearing school uniforms and carrying heavy school bags.
Let us respect our Constitution, value our freedom, and work together to make India stronger.
Jai Hind!
